Our Classrooms
Elementary classrooms
Our Elementary classrooms are multigrade self-contained settings that are designed to meet the social-emotional and cognitive needs of each individual student. The class environment is engaging and promotes social discourse with its small group instructional and large group social skill building.
The hands-on-learning environment encourages learning through play as well as facilitating individual growth and development. Our staff are well versed in child development and learning strategies that afford each student the opportunity to achieve their goals.

high school classroom
At Placer Learning Center, our high school classroom focuses on academics as well as appropriate classroom behaviors by:
Encouraging independent learning.
Enabling students to make connections between the lessons and the world around them.
Preparing students for the transition back into a public school classroom.
For our students to be successful in the classroom, it is imperative that they become conscious of how their behavior affects their education. Once this concept is understood, our staff works with each individual to help replace inappropriate behaviors with more acceptable behaviors thus allowing students to channel that energy into their school work. By utilizing an individual learning plan, we can tailor the lessons to maximize the educational benefit for each student as well as apply them to real life situations outside of the classroom. Once our students begin to see that the concepts we teach can apply to their daily lives, it increases their desire to build upon these foundations and explore new ones.
